Morphicon 2015: Retro Gaming

==___PUBLICITY DEER’S ADDRESS___==
Dearest Morphicon Attendees,
Scarcely over a month remains before the convention and there’s plenty still to do! Our staff is busy ‘round the clock to make sure that Morphicon 2015 is the best Morphicon yet and we sure are excited for what we have coming. If you haven’t had a chance to register yet, make sure to do so before April 1st to get the Early Bird discount. The special is no joke!
Over the next two weeks we will be accepting contributions to this year’s Con Book and want your input to fill it up with fun! If you have a short story or artwork that you would like to submit, please send it to publications@morphicon.org for inclusion in the Con Book.
We are grateful to you all for your patience while we figured out how to resolve the hotel booking issue. Our hotel code (MO5) has been extended through April 9th, so there should be plenty of time to book if you were unable to complete a booking previously. But the sooner the better, still!
Read on for more info on the Ursa Major nominees and a special event for our eyes only!
Seeing you soon,
Janushka, the Publicity Deer

==___URSA MAJOR VOTING OPEN___==
The Annual Anthropomorphic Literature and Arts Awards, a.k.a. the Ursa Major Awards, will be presented at Morphicon this year, but before they can give the awards, people need to vote for the winners! The list of nominees has been released by the committee and the voting is open to all. To vote, go to http://www.ursamajorawards.org/voting2014/ and sign up for a key. Since anybody can vote, make sure your friends all know they can have their say in the best anthropomorphic arts whether or not they are attending the convention!
Voting closes on April 15th.

==___CINEMATIC TEST SCREENING___==
At Morphicon only this year! Join filmmaker Ash for a test screening of his long-awaited documentary: "Furries: A Documentary." Filmed over several years throughout Ohio and beyond, the film follows a select group of furries as they explore their own identities and the furry community as a whole. Whether you're new to the fandom or a veteran, there is plenty to enjoy and discover in this lighthearted film, including scenes filmed at Morphicon itself. Stick around after the credits for a Q&A with the filmmaker and several of the main characters.

==___CALL FOR PANELISTS/DJs/VOLUNTEERS___==

This year’s programming is shaping up to be busy as ever and our Guests of Honor have some great ideas for what they want to share with you all. But we can still use plenty or help! We have yet to locate a Canine SiG panelist, so if you’re feeling social and canine (really, those seem to go hand in hand) please consider volunteering. If you want to drop the beat for the weekend dances, we still need DJs to keep the music pumping. And finally we are looking for potential models for the Nude Drawing and Fursuit Live Drawing panels. Age restrictions of course apply. If you’re interested in any of these options, send an email to programming@morphicon.org.
We’re also still looking for a few more art panels to round out the offerings this year! If you are of the creative type and like to teach others how to do what you do, send a line to arts@morphicon.org.

==___CALL FOR GOPHERS___==

Whatever the work we the staff do, there’s always plenty more to be done that we can’t get to. That’s where our Gophers step up to make the con run smoothly. Year after year, our fantastic gopher crew has kept us running and our staffers sane—as much as they were sane to begin with. Gophers will do everything from setting up the dance hall to helping restock the food in the Con Suite to watching over the video game room when our gaming track person needs the sort of break Mountain Dew can’t solve. Gophering is a great way for even newcomers to help out the convention and meet some fine folks along the way.
You can gopher for just an hour or two or you can help us out throughout the convention. The hours you work will all go toward a discount on Registration for the following Morphicon, so you’re paying it forward to yourself as well! If you’re interested, send an email to gophers@morphicon.org to give us an early head count and get more info on what you can do.

==___CON BOOK SUBMISSIONS___==

As mentioned above, we are looking for submissions for this year’s Con Book! This can be short stories, small pieces of artwork to intersperse throughout, or even larger pieces that dazzle the eye as one flips through the book. If you'd like to submit original illustrations, clip art, comics, poetry, or short stories to be considered for the conbook, send your hi-res images or vector files (or plain text) to publications@morphicon.org. The pages will be 5.5” by 8.5” and submission that fit with this year’s theme, Retro Gaming, will be given priority. Please send all submissions to by April 5th to ensure they can be properly incorporated into the book.

And don’t forget!

Follow Morphicon on Twitter (@Morphicon) and Facebook (Morphicon) for all the updates.

==___PUBLICITY DEER’S ADDRESS___==

Hello Morphicon Attendees!
The convention is drawing closer and we’re working as hard as we can to make Morphicon 2015 an exceptional convention. Our T-Shirt contest is getting underway with a March 8th deadline, so read the rules below before you start drawing! We’re also looking for panelists of all kinds to host events at the convention and submissions for our conbook. Finally, we’re taking a moment to tell you a bit more about the Ursa Major Awards and highlight one of our personal favorite features of convention: the Hospitality Suite, available to all registrants!
As always: read, enjoy, and send any suggestions for future inclusions to publicity@morphicon.org and I’ll be happy to make space in the upcoming newsletters!
See you in May,
Janushka, the Publicity Deer

==___EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT EXTENDED___==

The Early-Bird discount has been extended to April 1st! And that’s no joke! Registering before April 1st saves you $10 on any registration level below hypertrophe, so act now and save!

However, Hypertrophes must still be registered by MARCH 1st, so we can let our artist and guests of honor get to work on all the customized goodies that come with being our biggest supporters.

http://morphicon.org/Registration/

Remember that using the Morphicon hotel code gets you the guaranteed cheapest rooms in the hotel for the weekend, but the code disappears after March 18th. This year’s group code is MO5.

http://morphicon.org/Location/

==___T-SHIRT CONTEST___==

Get your art tools ready, 'cause it's time for our yearly T-Shirt contest! All you creative artist-types out there have until March 8 to submit line art that you'd like to see on this year's official convention shirts! Submissions should fit with the theme for the convention, Retro Gaming, and either include the convention name and year or have space so our convention artist can add the type to the image. Rules for the contest are:
 Contestants are allowed to submit multiple entries, but they can not win first AND second place
 Contestants must submit a black and white picture appropriate for display on a T-shirt by the end of the contest
 Artwork lines should be thick, resolution should be high, content should be PG-13 or less, and the art should be related to the theme for that year
 First place has their artwork placed on the T-shirt and receives a free patron registration
 Second place has their artwork used prominently somewhere else and receives a free sponsor registration
 All artwork submitted will be used on the website or in convention signage/publications.
 Art is Due by March 8th at Midnight EST
To make a submission for the T-Shirt contest: http://www.jotform.us/form/40387724328156
Submissions may be edited to fit publication specifications and addition of text if necessary.

==___CON FEATURE: THE HOSPITALITY SUITE___==

Morphicon boasts one of the furry convention circuit’s few hospitality suites that is open to attendees at ALL levels of registration. Our hospitality crew keep the con stocked throughout the day with hot dogs, chips, cookies, mountains of cold soda, and more—and that’s just for grazing hours. The suite also provides breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, including the annual pizza party to top it all off!
This year we regret to say that we will not be able to carry specialty foods for those with food allergies and dietary restrictions. This decision was made because it is very difficult to stock the variety of foods required to reflect the many types of allergies, and to streamline the Hospitality Suite. While we will of course stock a variety of foods, we cannot promise an allergen free area for those with severe allergies. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and we are giving advanced notice so that other plans may be made.

==___URSA MAJOR AWARDS___==

The nominations for the Ursa Major Awards are now open to the public! Every year, the nominees are chosen by an open nomination process, with the top nominees who have received more than one nomination going on to an open voting process. From the official website the rules for nomination are as follows.

To be eligible, a work must have been released during the calendar year 2014, and must include a non-human being given human attributes (anthropomorphic), which can be mental and/or physical; and must receive more than one nomination. The nominees that receive the top five number of nominations will go on to the final voting to be held from 15 March 2015.

Nominations close on February 28th, so go make one soon if you want to see your favorite anthropomorphic artists honored at our convention this year! To make a nomination, go to: http://www.ursamajorawards.org/nominations.htm and enroll. Remember, each nominee must have more than one nomination in order to make it to the final vote, so get your friends to support your nomination!

==___PANEL HOSTS NEEDED___==

We are building Morphicon programing and we need panelists! People that have a passion for art, drawing, and especially writing are encouraged to submit ideas for leading a panel at the convention. Or if you simply have a strong connection to an animal type consider hosting one of our Special Interest Groups (SIGs). Hosting a panel count as double the volunteer (or Gopher hours) and is a great way to get involved and experience the convention. If you have panel ideas or want to run one at the next Morphicon, please apply at programming@morphicon.org.

==___SEEKING CON BOOK SUBMISSIONS___==

We’re re-launching our conbook this year and need you all, our attendees, to help fill it with your artistry. If you'd like to submit original illustrations, clip art, comics, poetry, or short stories to be considered for the conbook, send your hi-res images or vector files (or plain text) to publications@morphicon.org

==___URSA MAJOR AWARDS___==

Morphicon is honored to be acting as host convention for the Ursa Major Awards for the third time since the awards began in 2001. These award are intended to showcase the wide array and high quality of artistic talent in the furry fandom. The awards cover a range of media from film to magazines to games and websites. We are incredibly excited to have been asked to help with this year’s celebration and look forward to seeing you at the ceremony.

==___GUESTS OF HONOR___==

Morphicon 2015 will be presented in no small part by our guests of honor, Skulldog and Koh! ==___ THE YEAR IN NUMBERS___==

From attendance to panels to charity donations, this year’s convention was remarkable. We reached a record number of attendees at 317, put on over 60 unique panels, had 61 fursuiters in the parade, and raised $1,764.00 for our charity FURS (Ferrets Unlimited Rescue Services). All this in addition to the dances, variety show, Spectacle of Doom, Atomic Battle of Doom, video game tournaments and everything else that made the con one fantastic weekend. We especially want to thank once more our Guests of Honor, Krahnos and Fossil, who each put on several panels and did an incredible amount of artwork for the convention.

But this convention can’t happen without its attendees, dealers, panel hosts, and volunteers. We thank you for bringing your all to this convention and hope you all had as much fun as we did. See you next year for:

Morphicon 2015: Retro Gaming

==___SEND US PICTURES___==

Do you have pictures of the con you want to share with everyone? Post them to Facebook, tag us on Twitter, or email them to publicity@morphicon.org and we’ll upload them to an accessible picture hosting service. We’d like to let everyone keep the best memories of the convention and have the pictures to last them until we all get to come back next year.

==___LOST AND FOUND; UNCLAIMED AUCTION ITEMS___==

Apparently a good number of our attendees had such a good time at Morphicon 2014 that they could not bear to leave, and decided to leave something behind in their stead.
As you unpack and settle back in to "normal" life, you may notice an item or two seems to be missing. If this is the case, or seems to be the case for someone you know who may not be following this e-mail list, please contact Morphicon Registration if you think the item may have been left behind at the con at registration@morphicon.org
Those who won Charity Auction items and did not pay for/pick up their items should check their emails for a message if they have not seen one already so we can arrange payment and work out pick-up/delivery details.

==___ HOTEL BLOCK GOING FAST___==

We’ve already booked enough rooms to fill our initial room block and are adding more, but the rooms are going quick this year! The hotel has completely sold out of double rooms already and only has the single kings remaining. Morphicon has programming morning, noon, and night, so even if you live locally it can be handy to have a room at the con. Remember that the room block for the convention closes on April 14th, so hurry on over and reserve your room now before they all vanish into the chilly night air. Be sure to use the Morphicon 2014 the code "MC4" to get in on the special Morphicon room pricing!

==___PRE-REGISTRATION ENDS APRIL 18___==

Do you enjoy lines? Do you desire to spend as much time in one as possible? If not, give Morphicon Pre-Registration a try! Pre-registration makes things run more smoothly and is easy to do. You will still have the option to upgrade your registration later, including at the door.

==___CALL FOR FRIDAY NIGHT DJ & KARAOKE HOST___==

Picture it: the dazzle of the dance hall, the pounding of the bass, the cheers of furries, all because you, yes you, were there to mix it up. Morphicon is looking for DJs for the Friday night dance and we need you, yes really you, to show us what you’ve got. If interested in bringing what you’ve got to the Morphicon dance floor, contact programming@morphicon.org.

Morphicon is also pleased to be able to bring back Karaoke for this year, but we need someone who’s willing to keep the mic moving and the songs playing! If hosting a songfest is your sort of thing, then you’re the one we’re looking for. As before, contact programming@morphicon.org to let the resident programming owl know.

==___FRIDAY MASQUERADE___==
Do you want to show off your fursuit? Then come to the Masquerade on Friday night where the focus is on the suits. If your fursuit is paw-made, come to the pre-judging at 8:00PM where our judges will ask questions about your suit and you may receive awards for your construction abilities. Then at 9:00PM, regardless of how you got your suit, come on-stage to show it off to our wonderful audience where you may receive an award for your performance. You do NOT need a skit or pre-planned performance. You can bring your own skit and music if you want, or you can just groove to the music we provide. There are different levels of awards based on if you're a minor and if you've won awards in previous competitions. Marcus Otter may be wandering around the con Friday trying to pull in unsuspecting fursuiters into his house of horrors AKA the Masquerade.

==___T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST RESULTS___==

First of all, we want to thank everyone who submitted entries to our t-shirt design contest this year. From trick-or-treat cute to sinister and scary we had a great set of entries and hope that everyone will be back next year to take another shot at designing the next great Morphicon t-shirt! This year’s winners were:

First Place Nutcase
Second Place: The Jeweled Horn

Enormous thanks to everyone involved and we can’t wait ‘til you all see it in person!

==___CALL FOR LIVE DRAWING MODEL___==

Morphicon will be hosting a live drawing session as in previous years as a workshop for artists over the age of 18. It’s a unique opportunity that you won’t find at many other cons and we need the models to make it happen. If you are of age would be interested and comfortable with modeling for a nude drawing session, please contact programming@morphicon.org. No photography, video, or other image capturing of any sort other than the drawings themselves will be permitted at the panel.

==___CALL FOR CANINE SIG HOST____==

We are still looking for someone to run the Canine Special Interest Group meet! If you’re up for maintaining some semblance of order among a pack of canine (we personally suggest a whole lot of ball pit balls), please feel free to put in your name. This can be as low key and relaxed or energetic and planned as the individual host wants it to be. However you like to play party host, that’s what we need! Once again—perhaps for the last time this newsletter—if interested contact programming@morphicon.org.

If you haven’t already, go ahead and click this link! http://morphicon.org/registration

==___SPECTACLE OF DOOM___==

We've got a pretty scary themed con lined up for you this year, however the Spectacle of Doom (our scripted skit show) doesn't have to be scary to put together. That's where you, the faithful con attendee comes in. The Spectacle of Doom is looking for actors, puppeteers, voice actors, and stage hands to help make our show less of a horrifying experience and more of a fun time everyone can enjoy. If you are interested in performing, please come to the Griswold C ballroom during the casting call to pick up a role. Once you got your roles, there will be a script reading before dinner break, and then we return to the Griswold for rehearsals. After we've rehearsed each act, we'll be ready to perform before the audience. If you have never performed for the Spectacle of Doom before, this will be a terrific experience to get your performing aspirations off to a running start. Our director, SonicBlu, will help you along the way to help your experience with the Spectacle of Doom a more pleasant one.

==___CALL FOR PANELISTS CONTINUES___==

Have a unique skill to teach? Some fun stories to share? Just want to get people together to chat and have a good time? Why not run a panel at this year’s Morphicon? Every year we have a dazzling array of events for all the con’s attendees to enjoy and it’s thanks to the work and dedication of folks like you who share their time and talents. We especially need Special Interest Group panels (e.g. SiG: Canines) for the meet and greet types! To submit panel ideas and volunteer, contact programming@morphicon.org
==___FURRY VARIETY SHOW/MORPHICON TONIGHT___==

Have you got a skit you've been working on and would like some stage time to perform
it? You can do so during the Furry Variety Show/Morphicon Tonight! Just come to Furry
Variety Show (FVS) rehearsals and bring your material with you. If you don't have any
material but you would still like to perform on the stage, just talk to SonicBlu during FVS rehearsals, and we'll fit you in. With thousands upon thousands of background songs at our disposal, we can easily give you your 2 to 5 minutes of fame right on our stage. Don't be shy, just come to FVS rehearsals and RSVP to be in the show. The FVS will be combined with our late-nite talk show, Morphicon Tonight, so performance times will fluctuate, depending on how many acts are queued and reserving at least 30 minutes for interviews with the guests of honor. The show always starts off with our traditional "Silly Fursuiter Tricks", so at one point or another,
SonicBlu Darkfold may be wandering around the con floor looking to pick out a random
fursuiter at random to open the show. If you are interested, just do something silly for SonicBlu, and he may just select you to appear as the show's opener. If you're not interested, don't worry. Nobody will be forced into doing anything they don't want to do. Simply tell SonicBlu whether you are interested or not when he springs the question: "How would -YOU- like to open Morphicon Tonight with your silly fursuiting tricks?"

==___ATOMIC COMEDY HOUR OF DOOM___==

Attention all wannabe comics, laugh factory professionals, and those that have never performed live standup comedy (but always had that dream.) You will want to RSVP to appear on our stage for the Atomic Comedy Hour of Doom, which will be going on the stage right after the Spectacle of Doom. Depending on how many people we have signing up, the routine time per participant may fluctuate to conciliate with the one-hour time bracket. Again, RSVP beforehand first, before getting any stage time. If you have not been able to RSVP for a slot, please ask SonicBlu at any time if there is any room in the lineup to jump behind the microphone. We may have a spot open for you. First come, first served, so brush up on your comedy routines and RSVP early. The Box of Doom" will return this year and will be located at the bulletin boards. Fill out those slips and drop them in the box to RSVP. Details at opening ceremonies.

==___T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST___==

Details for this year’s t-shirt design contest are available online and the contest is underway with the deadline looming ever nearer. The first place winner gets FREE PATRON REGISTRATION to the convention and their art on the t-shirt. A second place prize will also be awarded to the tune of free Sponsor registration and artwork displayed in a yet-to-be-determined location for the convention. Furry End of the World Convention Announces 2012 Fundraiser to Benefit Wolfgem
Earlier this year, tragedy struck the furry community, when a furry couple was struck by a drunk driver while they were walking their dogs. All four dogs were killed, and the boyfriend - Harison Long-Randall (Elden) later succumbed to his injuries as well, after selflessly and heroically pushing his girlfriend - Gemily West (Wolfgem) - from taking the brunt of the collision with the recklessly speeding vehicle, and taking the brunt of the impact himself. The sheer horror of the tragedy and outrage at this hit-and-run spread through the furry community like wildfire. But nothing we do can replace the loss Gemily must feel. So we do what little we can: and that little is to hold a fundraiser to help Gemily financially with any outstanding medical or other expenses during her time of loss.

Furry End of the World will be holding a special collection at the convention and will be donating 100% of the proceeds from the art auction to Wolfgem. WE NEED YOUR HELP to make this successful. Please consider donating art pieces, certificates for commissions, ears tails, fursuits, or any other items that furries might be interested in so we can help out one of our own in their time of true need. For more information on donations please contact me directly.

For more information on the fundraiser or to register for the convention please visit our website The End of the World Convention

Morphicon Miscellanea - April 2012
-= The End is Nigh =-

Yes, folks, the long wait is almost over. With only two weeks to go until Morphicon 2012: Fables & Furry Tails you can finishing sharpening your claws and preening your coats and think ahead to packing. If you haven't already, head on over and pre-register at Morphcion.org. While the early-bird discount is over (partially because the bird was consumed) it's still an easy way to get one more thing taken care of before the con.
As always, we have a plethora of panels and almagama of activities planned to keep you entertained. The Spectacle of Doom, Fursuit Parade, and Frozen Oasis all make a return this year. We'll also have the Dealer's Den and Artist's Alley open to help you buy and sell, what else, art! The patio will be available if you simply want to hang-out and, for those of you who want to earn a discount for next year, your Gopher Wrangler would love to hear from you if you'd like to volunteer!
Feel free to contact your Morphicon staff should you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you there!

-= Meet the GoH's: Text Edition, Part 2 =-

Having already answered a pair of questions for you in the previous edition of Morphicon Miscellanea, Heavy Horse and Sigil, this year's Guests of Honour, agreed to answer two more. While we realize four questions are not enough to know a GoH, we do hope you stop by their respective panels at the con and learn a bit more about, and from, them.

You can find they're latest bits of knowledge at www.Morphicon.org.

-= "Yew" Know What You Want =-

Two more chapters of Heavy Horse's Yew Manor! We have taken the time to upload two of the final three chapters of this wonderful story to Morphicon.org. Heavy has agreed to read Yew Manor in its entirety at the con and we'll let him finish his story for you. At the conclusion of the con, Yew Manor will be posted in one piece on Morphicon.org. We encourage you to attend Heavy's reading to his wonderful piece so you might achieve closure just a little bit sooner.

-= Welcome to Goodbye =-

Speaking of closure, it is with a heavy heart and drooping tail I must mention your publicity fox will not be returning after this year's con. It has been a honour to serve on the Morphicon staff these past two years and I thank everyone involved and, especially, those who've enjoyed (or simply put up with) my ramblings. Have no fear, we are not planning on leaving the position vacant and are already speaking to others who have expressed interest.

That said, Morphicon is continually evolving. Furs come and go and we are always looking for those interested in helping plan and execute the next great con experience. If your ambitions are loftier than being a gopher or panelist, we encourage you to speak to someone on staff. You never know, it just may be you writing the newsletter in the future!

Thanks for the ride! - Foxx (in a box)

Bagstuffing Party - Saturday April 28th
WHAT
Morphicon is just around the corner, and we need to put together the conbooks as well as fill up the convention bags. Every year people show their love through HARD PHYSICAL LABOR, and this year is no different. No, really though, we do need people, and the work isn't that hard. It's more of a slight distraction from seeing everyone before the convention. Think of it as the first unofficial day of the con!

We'll have snacks/drinks and then later on in the evening, pizza! Mmmn, pizza. But please keep the pizza off of the conbooks. This isn't Morphicon 2012 : Greasy Pizza Hands.
So, like, how can you possibly beat that deal? Good friends, free food, and all you have to do is play assembly-line slave for the convention for as long as it takes till the books are all done.
As an aside, we're also making props for the Spectacle of DOOOOMMM alongside the bagstuffing.

WHEN
April 28th (Saturday) - 6pm

WHERE

Looking for fabric scrap donations for Morphicon
I will be running the ears and tail making workshop at Morphicon this year, and am looking for anyone local (within an hour or two of Columbus) who has some faux fur fabric scraps that they'd be willing to donate to the convention. It can be small swatches or weirdly-shaped remnants that you have leftover from a
previous project. Please contact me directly if you have something to donate, and we'll work out a way to transfer the fabric to before or at Morphicon.

Thanks much! :)

T-Shirt Winner Chosen!!!
Unbeknownst to one publicity fox, Ms. Wampus had received more than a couple entries for the annual Morphicon t-shirt contest. One can only speculate on why the wampus cat would behave in such a manor (*cough* /evil/ *cough*) but it garnered the required results.

Help us congratulate Darkicewolf for the winning design. His wonderful art will adorn all those able to purchase a t-shirt this year (they'll be moderately priced, we promise!). Let's not forget the beautiful art of our runner-up, Bloodhound, whose art will grace the cover of one our publications.

To see the winning designs, as well as all the entries for the contest, please visit www.Morphicon.org. We thank all those who took the time to participate in the contest and look forward to seeing you at the con!

Morphicon room share.

Update room filled. Morphicon room share. Hi every one I’m Harpsirat mated to Pakrat and we both have full fursuits. I’m trying to decide to buy or to share a room for Morphicon. if someone has a room to share for two Rats let me know before April 15. The reason I need to know before April 15 is because the discounted room rate ends that day. if no one has space to share I will buy a room and will have space for two furs. I will arrive at the con on Thursday and will leave on Monday. Update room filled.

Bob-Tailed Foxes & One-Week T-Shirt Deadlines
Shhh! Do you hear it? The wailing that sounds like a woman's scream? Make no mistake, that is not a woman - it is a wampus cat. A very /irritated/ wampus cat. Why is Kattywampus upset? It's simple - she needs your art. She /craves/ your art. With only a week to go until the deadline for the t-shirt competition (ends March 15th!), she has received very few entries. Her appetite is insatiable and she requires quantities of artwork.

Please help. I don't want to lose my tail (which is only one of the appendages that will go missing, I'm sure). I'll do anything. How about a free Patron registration? Fine. To the winner I will give the free Patron registration AND the design on the t-shirt for everyone to wear! As a further incentive to gather art, I'll even give away a free Sponsor registration to the runner-up PLUS the cover of the pocket programming guide! And I guarantee everyone who submits art relating to Morphicon's theme of Fables & Furry Tails will get inserted into the con book! All relevant details are located on the Morphicon website (www.Morphicon.org), written in a sweet and innocent manner by said wampus (don't be fooled!!!).

Help me keep the bob-tailed fox an Aesop's fable. Send your art. Eternal thanks will be yours. And remember, avoid slinking shadows in the night. It very well could be...the Kattywampus.

Check Your Mailbox & Con-goers Wanted!
It has been a while since our last newsletter, but for those of you who attended Morphicon last year, you will be receiving your annual printed newsletter in the mail with the 2012 Fables & Furry-Tails flyer, and the first chapter of a wonderful story written by Heavy Horse, one of our GoH's this year. For those of you who were unable to attend, we will be updating the website with the same information this weekend (to allow time for the USPS to do its job) and posting the newsletter itself at our various media outlets (LJ included).

Also, since mailing out the newsletters, we've found we have attendees from everywhere. We would like to encourage this diversity and would love your help in doing so. If you are going to a con and would be willing to place Morphicon at the proper locations (as specified by that particular con) we would love to hear from you. Flyers can be printed ahead of time and snail-mailed to you or we can send you a copy of the current flyer suitable for printing. If interested, please note us here or send an e-mail to publicity[at]morphicon.org. You will receive our undying gratitude in exchange.
